Update January 26, 2009

Sorry its been awhile since the last update. But here it is....

Friday the 23rd wasn't a great day by any means. Tamra wasn't doing so well. Her mood had switched to "wanting to be done" She was expressing that she just could not do this anymore, that she had enough of feeling badly. You could tell that she wasn't feeling well. She was very "foggy" in her thoughts and her speech. She was ready to let go of this earths existence. It wasn't what any of us wanted to hear, but we all wanted what was best for mom.

Saturday the 24th, she was a mixed emotion. She on one hand wanted to fight to stay, but then also said she didn't want to be so uncomfortable. She was able and wanted to shower. Unfortunately she ended up throwing up yet again. It seems that at least once a day she does this, and it seems in the afternoon that it happens. We were able to get her back in bed and she rested more. You could tell just how worn out her body was, and how plainly tired she was of her situation.

Sunday the 25th. I wasn't here for the day, Shane and Jaime had us over for dinner since we would be seeing her anyhow. Shane said that she did really well. While getting out of bed in the morning was a bit tough for her she was able to get around and sit on the couch for a while. Shes eating her three meals, and is trying to get in enough liquids. When I saw her last night she was more aware of her surroundings. She was more clear in her speech and wasn't repeating herself over and over like she had been the days before.

Today she again seems to be clearer in her speech. She still is weak and still wants to sleep a lot of her day away. She prefers her eyes be closed most of all the time. I'm not sure why this is. Shane and Jaime have been so great in caring for mom! Its a comfort knowing they are here for her and dad. At the moment she is resting.

Here's to hoping and praying for better days for her! Lets pray that she will receive a miracle...but for the time being we just want her to feel good and be out of pain and discomfort.

Thanks for all your kind words and thoughts as well as your prayers! They have helped in more ways then one. Know that we are reading her your messages...and they are making her feel even more loved. She really appreciates them. She loves all of you too!

With love, Misty

Hang in there Tamara we love you and you are in my thoughts and my prayers. I wish there was something I could do for you and I wish that I could help take some of the pain away from you. :)
