Update February 7th, 2009
The past few days Tamra has seemed to be declining in her thoughts as well as her communication. We are not sure if it is due to the morphine, or perhaps her liver and kidneys are not working as well as they used to therefor not filtering the medication. There is also the possibility that the cancer has spread to her brain, but we are not sure of what is really going on.
Last night at around 5pm she got up to go use the bathroom. As always one of us helps her there and waits to help her back to bed. While she went to the bathroom we are guessing that she was washing her hands and took a pretty hard fall onto the floor. She caught her pick line in the process and pulled it out half way. She was in extreme pain and having an uncontrollable emotions. We at the time didn't know what we were about to find out. Dad and Jaime sat with mom while we waited for hospice to come over. We were able to get her pain under control as well as her emotions. She then laid down on the floor (as we couldn't get her up) and rested calmly. It was finally decided to have her transport by ambulance to the ER to make sure she didn't do any damage. Well, she had. From her fall she cracked a rib, had a compounded fracture in her spine and to all of this it had put a bubble in her lung and cause it to partially collapse. They were able to get her pain under control and moved her into a room at the hospital.
We are now waiting to hear from the doctor as well as radiology. Last night they talked of cementing her spin and putting a tube into her lung to drain it and repair it. All of this to help with the pain. Its suppose to not be too invasive.
We will let you know as the day goes a long what is going on.
Please as always keep her in your thoughts and prayers.
With love...

Oh Tamara, I am so sorry you have to go through all of this. You are in my prayers and thoughts 24/7 I wish you the best to what ever is to come.
MISTY hang in there you are also in my prayers, I can only imagine how hard this is for you to go through. But you have a great family and I know you have many good friends lean on them and they will help you through all of this. Again if there is anything at all I can do you know where I live and my # is in the book, let me know.
